Subject and scope
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (the "Terms") apply to all sales of spare parts and accessories for household appliances concluded between Abelec (the "Seller") and any business or consumer buyer (the "Buyer") through the website abelec-service.com.
The Seller is Abelec, a sole proprietorship under Belgian law, company number (BCE/KBO) 0653.292.921, VAT BE0653292921, Avenue Léopold III 38B, 7134 Péronnes-lez-Binche, Belgium, telephone +32 64 26 37 95, e-mail helpdesk@abelec-service.com.
Placing an order on the website implies acceptance of these Terms. The applicable terms are those in force when the order is confirmed.
These Terms apply to online sales to private individuals and businesses residing in one of the countries to which the website delivers: Belgium and France.
Contract language and customer service
The contract may be concluded in the following languages: French and Dutch. It is concluded in the language of the version of the site used to place the order; these terms and conditions are available in that language.
Our customer service replies to you in the language of the contract, by e-mail at helpdesk@abelec-service.com or through the site's contact form.
Placing an order: steps, correcting errors and archiving
To order on the website, the Buyer follows these steps:
- Basket: the Buyer adds the chosen parts to the basket, which shows the price of each part and the subtotal, then clicks "Continue to delivery".
- Customer account: the Buyer logs in to a customer account or creates one; an account is required to pay.
- Delivery: the Buyer enters the delivery address and chooses the delivery method (home delivery or pickup point); a business buyer also enters its company name and VAT number. The summary then shows the parts ordered, the delivery costs and the total price.
- Acceptance and payment: the Buyer accepts these Terms by ticking the box provided, clicks the "Order with obligation to pay" button and pays through Stripe, in the secure payment window or with a card saved in the account.
- Confirmation: the contract is concluded as soon as the payment is accepted. A confirmation page is displayed and a confirmation e-mail is sent to the e-mail address given.
Correcting errors before ordering. Until the Buyer clicks "Order with obligation to pay", the order can be checked and corrected: in the basket, the Buyer changes the quantity of a part or removes it; at the Delivery step, the Buyer changes the address, the delivery method or the pickup point, and can go back to the basket with the "Back to the basket" link. An incomplete address or a postcode that does not match the country is flagged next to the field concerned. If the Buyer closes the payment window without paying, nothing is charged and the order can still be changed. An error noticed after ordering should be reported to customer service at helpdesk@abelec-service.com.
Archiving and access to the contract. Abelec records every order and keeps orders and invoices for the legal retention period for accounting records. The Buyer has access to the contract:
- the confirmation e-mail contains the order summary, the order document as a PDF (order form or invoice) and these Terms as a PDF, in the version accepted when ordering: the Buyer should keep them;
- the "My orders" section of the customer account lists the Buyer's orders (number, date, status and amount);
- the "Track my order" page, with the order number and e-mail address, lets the Buyer download the order document again;
- on request to helpdesk@abelec-service.com, we send the Buyer a copy of the order.
Price and payment
All prices shown on the website are in euros (€), including all taxes, at the VAT rate of the country of delivery. The price of a part does not include delivery costs: these costs, and any surcharge (islands, remote areas), are shown in the basket before payment. A business established in another European Union country whose VAT number is validated by the VIES system pays the price excluding VAT (exempt intra-Community supply, Article 39bis of the Belgian VAT Code).
The Seller may change its prices at any time. Products are invoiced at the price in force when the order is confirmed.
Payment is made online, in full, when the order is placed, through our payment service provider Stripe. The available payment methods are shown at the payment step:
- Bank card (Visa, Mastercard)
- Bancontact (Belgium)
Card details are encrypted and processed by Stripe only. Abelec never has access to the Buyer's card number.
Delivery
Once payment is confirmed, a part in stock in our warehouse is shipped within 24 working hours (the same day if the order is placed before 12 noon on a working day), and another part in stock within 48 working hours. The lead time for a part being restocked or made to order is shown before payment. The estimated delivery times after shipment are:
- Belgium and France: 1 to 2 working days
An e-mail with the parcel tracking number is sent as soon as the order ships. Unless otherwise agreed, the order is delivered no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded; failing that, the consumer may terminate the contract under the conditions laid down by law.
For a consumer, the risk of loss or damage passes when the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the parcel. For a business, it passes when the parcel is handed over to the carrier. If a parcel arrives damaged, please report it to the carrier and to our customer service as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, to make it easier to deal with.
If you are absent at delivery, the carrier leaves a delivery notice. A parcel not collected within the carrier's time limit is returned to us; we will then contact you to arrange a new shipment.
Returns and warranty
Right of withdrawal. The consumer has 14 days from the day he or she receives the part to withdraw from the contract, without giving any reason and without paying any penalty. This right does not apply to purchases made by a business.
To exercise it, inform us of your decision before the period ends through the contact form on our website, quoting your order number. We reply with the instructions for sending the part back, which you return to us no later than 14 days after informing us of your withdrawal. The direct cost of returning it is borne by you.
We refund all sums paid, including the initial delivery costs, no later than 14 days after being informed of your withdrawal, using the same means of payment as for the order. We may withhold the refund until we have received the part back or until you have supplied evidence of having sent it back, whichever is the earliest.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the part resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and proper functioning. A part that has been fitted in the appliance, damaged or incomplete may therefore be refunded less the amount of that diminished value, which may reach the value of the part if it can no longer be resold.
Legal guarantee of conformity. The consumer benefits from the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery (Articles 1649bis et seq. of the former Belgian Civil Code). Any lack of conformity that appears within this period is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless proven otherwise. The consumer may obtain repair or replacement of the part or, failing that, a price reduction or termination of the sale. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by incorrect fitting, abnormal use or normal wear and tear. The consumer also keeps the protection granted by the mandatory provisions of the law of his or her country of residence, in particular, in France, the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).
Commercial guarantee. In addition, every part sold on the website benefits from the Abelec commercial guarantee described in the "Abelec commercial guarantee" article below. It is in addition to the legal guarantee and never reduces it.
Abelec commercial guarantee
Guarantor. The commercial guarantee is given by Abelec, company number (BCE/KBO) 0653.292.921, Avenue Léopold III 38B, 7134 Péronnes-lez-Binche, Belgium, telephone +32 64 26 37 95, e-mail helpdesk@abelec-service.com.
Parts covered and duration. Every part sold on the website and delivered to one of the countries we deliver to (Belgium and France) is covered for 3 years from delivery. For a consumer, this period includes the 2 years of the legal guarantee of conformity, to which Abelec adds 1 year.
What it provides. If a part is defective during the guarantee period, our after-sales service arranges its exchange or refund. As soon as our after-sales service agrees, the replacement part ships within the same lead time as a new part order. If the part needs to be returned, we provide a prepaid return label.
Conditions. The part was fitted properly, following good practice, and used normally. You contact us within the 3-year warranty period, with your order number.
Exclusions. The commercial guarantee does not cover:
- Choosing the wrong part, unless our checker or our after-sales service had confirmed compatibility.
- A part fitted without following good practice, modified or used abnormally.
- Damage from an external cause: power surge, water, impact.
- Routine replacement of heavily used wear parts: carbon filters, water filter, anti-limescale, belts…
How to claim. Open the after-sales form and enter your order number. Attach a photo of the part and describe the problem in a few words. Our after-sales service replies by e-mail and arranges the exchange or the refund. You can also write to helpdesk@abelec-service.com.
Your legal rights remain intact. In the event of a lack of conformity, the consumer is entitled, free of charge, to the remedies of the legal guarantee of conformity against the seller, described in the "Returns and warranty" article. The Abelec commercial guarantee is in addition to these rights and does not affect them.
European notice on the legal guarantee
As required by Article VI.45 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960, here is the European Union harmonised notice on the consumer's rights under the legal guarantee of conformity:

Read the text of the notice
LEGAL GUARANTEE
Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.
Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:
- do not match the description;
- do not function as intended.
Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:
- free repair or free replacement;
- in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.
Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code below or ask the seller.

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:
- Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
- Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.
Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
Liability
It is the Buyer's responsibility to check that the part is compatible with the appliance before buying. The website's search tools by brand and model are provided to help; our customer service answers any compatibility question before the order.
Abelec is not liable for damage caused by incorrect fitting of the part by the Buyer or by a third party. We recommend using a qualified technician for repairs on the electrical circuit, gas or refrigeration circuit.
Towards a business, Abelec's liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned. Towards a consumer, these Terms neither limit nor exclude any right granted by law. Abelec is not liable for any failure to perform due to force majeure.
Product photographs are for illustration only; the part delivered may look slightly different, in particular because of changes made by manufacturers, without any change to its essential characteristics.
Applicable law
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. This choice does not deprive the consumer of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where he or she resides.
Before taking any further step, please contact our customer service at helpdesk@abelec-service.com so that we can find an amicable solution.
If no agreement is reached, the consumer may apply free of charge to the Consumer Mediation Service (Belgium), which forwards the request to the competent body if necessary:
- Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8 box 1, 1000 Brussels
- contact@mediationconsommateur.be
- www.mediationconsommateur.be
For a dispute with a seller established in another Union country, the consumer can also get free help from the European Consumer Centre of his or her country.
A dispute with a business falls within the jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Hainaut. A consumer may always bring proceedings before the courts of his or her place of residence or those of the Seller's registered office.
